1998 – 2002
Company founded as Netage Solutions

NetageVC / DealDynamo introduced as the premier deal and investor relations management system for private equity and venture capital firms. Investor Dynamo Online Reporting Portal released for secure LP reporting.

2003 – 2005

FundDynamo released for fund manager due diligence for funds of funds, family offices, endowments, foundations and other asset allocators. Dynamo (Netage Solutions) is profiled in Microsoft’s annual “Innovation Starts Here” book, validating its technical leadership and best practices.

2006 - 2008

PropertyDynamo launched for real estate investment firms. Dynamo achieves Microsoft Gold Partner Status for seamless compatibility with MS SQL. 10th anniversary celebrated and offices relocated to Watertown, MA to accommodate its growth.

2009 - 2012

Dynamo 6 marries alternative investment focused functionality with web access and SaaS delivery. Partnership Accounting released, enabling fund managers to further streamline and enhance investor reporting.

2013 – 2016

The company continues to grow, moving into the RiverWorks Complex in Watertown, MA, officially changing the corporate name to Dynamo Software and establishing London and Singapore offices to support a growing international client base.

2017

Dynamo surpasses 500 clients and welcomes an investment from Francisco Partners, making them the largest shareholder in the company. Dynamo hires Hank Boughner as CEO and acquires HoldingsInsight, a data service that collects detailed exposure information for multi-asset class portfolios.

2018

Dynamo acquires longtime partner, Q-Biz Solutions and integrates their PEView Partnership Accounting system within the Dynamo Platform. PEView also adds outsourced back office services for PE, VC, RE and other private partnership structures to Dynamo’s arsenal of available solutions.

2019

Dynamo acquires portfolio monitoring solution Preqin Solutions (now Dynamo PMV) to expand portfolio monitoring, valuation, and ESG offering. Dynamo also acquires Communica, a leading European hedge fund CRM, investor servicing, and compliance software platform, expanding our presence in the European hedge fund market.

2020 – 2021

Dynamo acquires Imagineer Technology group, a leading hedge fund investment management and investor portal provider, and surpasses 1,000+ total clients. Dynamo also secures re-investment from Francisco Partners and new investment from Blackstone Group, making them majority shareholders.

2022

Dynamo acquires Smonik Systems and enhances data automation for the private investment industry.
